The 2025 NFL Honors ceremony, held on February 6 in New Orleans, celebrated the league’s standout performers of the season. Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen was awarded the NFL Most Valuable Player (MVP) after leading his team to a 13-4 record. Allen achieved a career-low in turnovers, with only six interceptions and two fumbles, while amassing 28 passing touchdowns and 12 rushing touchdowns.
Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley earned the Offensive Player of the Year title. Barkley rushed for 2,005 yards during the regular season, becoming the ninth player in NFL history to surpass the 2,000-yard mark. His performance was instrumental in the Eagles’ 14-3 record and their journey to Super Bowl LIX.
On the defensive side, Denver Broncos cornerback Patrick Surtain II was named Defensive Player of the Year. Surtain allowed the fewest receiving yards among cornerbacks with at least 375 coverage snaps, showcasing his exceptional coverage skills throughout the season.
Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels was honored as Offensive Rookie of the Year. Daniels led the Commanders to a 12-5 record and their first NFC Championship appearance since 1991, recording a 69% completion rate, 3,568 passing yards, and 31 total touchdowns.
The Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2025 was also announced, featuring Antonio Gates, Jared Allen, Eric Allen, and Sterling Sharpe. Notably, Sterling Sharpe joins his brother, Shannon Sharpe, in the Hall, marking the first time siblings have been inducted.
