Travis Scott Brings Holiday Joy to Houston with Toy and Food Drive

Grammy-nominated rapper Travis Scott spread holiday cheer in his hometown of Houston, Texas, by hosting the fifth annual Winter Wonderland Park toy and food drive on Saturday, Dec. 21. Through his Cactus Jack Foundation, Scott donated thousands of gifts and food bags to local families, making the holidays brighter for the community.

A Family-Focused Celebration
The event was a family affair for Scott, 33, who brought along his parents, siblings, and 6½-year-old daughter Stormi, whom he shares with ex Kylie Jenner. Scott and Stormi personally handed out toys and connected with children in the community, emphasizing the rapper’s commitment to giving back.

Held at Texas Southern University—a historically Black university—the event underscored Scott’s family legacy at HBCUs (Historically Black Colleges and Universities). His parents, grandparents, and several extended family members have ties to institutions like Prairie View A&M, Grambling State, and Howard University.

Gifts, Food, and Festive Fun
The Cactus Jack Foundation, in partnership with the Houston Food Bank, distributed:

Over 2,000 toys and bikes, including 200 pairs of Nike Cactus Jack sneakers, dolls, and gear from the Houston Astros, Fanatics, and Space Village.
1,000 bags of food for families in need.
Adding to the festivities, Santa Claus made a special appearance alongside celebrities like rapper Don Toliver and Love Island USA star Serena Page.

Scholarship Opportunities and Educational Support
For the first time, the event incorporated Scott’s Waymon Webster Scholarship Program, named after his grandfather. Since its launch in 2019, the program has awarded over $1 million in scholarships to 100+ graduating seniors at HBCUs.

At the event, students were encouraged to learn more about the program and apply for financial assistance—highlighting Scott’s long-term investment in education and empowerment.

Cactus Jack Foundation’s Mission
Launched in 2020, the Cactus Jack Foundation focuses on empowering youth through education and creative resources. From scholarships to local outreach, Scott’s foundation continues to make a meaningful impact in the Houston area and beyond.

Scott’s work with the foundation has earned praise for blending community service with cultural influence, proving that giving back can be as impactful as topping the charts.

Looking Ahead
As Travis Scott continues to grow his foundation’s reach, events like the Winter Wonderland Park showcase his commitment to using his platform for positive change. With scholarships, donations, and creative programs, Scott ensures that his Houston roots remain a central part of his legacy.
