All I Want for Christmas is a Mariah Carey Pop-Up Bar Near Me

Mariah Carey has become synonymous with Christmas. Her holiday album is practically a soundtrack to the season—and all the cookie-baking, frantic shopping, gift-giving, in-law-arguing shenanigans that come with it. The only thing missing is a Mariah Carey Christmas-Themed Cocktail Bar….

Until now.

As Delish reports, this holiday season you can get your jingle on and have a very Carey Christmas at an exclusive pop-up bar experience inspired by the queen herself and just in time for the 30th anniversary of her hit song, “All I Want for Christmas.”

Virgin Hotels has partnered with Bucket Listers to open the Mariah Carey Black Irish Holiday Bar in Chicago, New York City, Dallas, Nashville, and New Orleans. “Guests can step into a magical holiday window photo display adorned with a custom ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’ neon sign, or sit on a festive wreath to recreate the iconic album cover from Mariah Carey’s Magical Christmas Special,” according to the marketing materials.

There are photo opportunity spots, including a life-sized Mariah cut-out as well as an “All I Want for Christmas Is You” photo booth. The pop-up is decorated with Christmas trees and nutcrackers. Stacks of postcards are available to write Mariah holiday “wish list” letters.

Themed drinks include the signature Make My Wish Come True Martini – Black Irish Cream, Grey Goose Vodka, Borghetti Coffee Liqueur, Créme de Menthe, Espresso, It’s Time – Black Irish Cream, Herradura Reposado Tequila, Borghetti Coffee Liqueur, Espresso, Cinnamon Sugar. the What More Can I Do Martini – Black Irish Salted Caramel Irish Cream, Four Roses Small Batch Bourbon, Borghetti Coffee Liqueur, Espresso, Chocolate Covered Pretzels, Queen of Christmas Cocoa – Choice of Black Irish Cream, Hot Milk Chocolate, Frangelico Foam, among others. All cocktails are priced at $18.

Holiday “winter bites” food is also served, but it does not appear to be Mariah Carey-themed. Eats include crab cakes, whipped ricotta on grilled bread, chicken wings, flatbread, the uncommon burger, crispy Brussel sprouts, among other dishes, with prices ranging from $11 (for truffle fries) to $24 (for the charcuterie board).

To visit the bar, you’ll need to buy a $20 ticket that gets you a 90-minute reservation and a free Signature Black Irish Cocktail, which is made with the singer’s own Irish cream liqueur.
