Butterball’s Turkey Talk-Line has returned for another year. A holiday staple, the hotline is available to answer all your questions – from the common ones – like whether to brine and how long to cook your turkey – to others that may be less frequently asked.
Although it’s open from November through December during the height of the holiday cooking season, During Thanksgiving week, the hours are generally from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. EST on Thanksgiving Day and 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. EST on the day before. Outside of those peak times, there are many other ways to get help, including email, live chat, and social media, throughout the season.
As the company says, “Butterball is there to provide advice even before you start cooking. Find the best methods for everything from choosing your turkey to carving it. We have detailed tips and videos to help make your meal a tasty success.”
Their website is the prime place to go for these frequently asked questions and how-to guides, such as brining, injecting, or marinating a turkey, placing a meat thermometer, checking a turkey for doneness and even carving a bird. The Butterball site even has pages dedicated to How to Choose a Turkey, How to Thaw a Frozen Turkey, and How to Stuff a Turkey.
