Mark Wahlberg’s Flecha Cantina restaurant in Las Vegas suffered a minor setback when a fire broke out on the patio on November 6. The blaze, caused by a faulty propane fire pit, was quickly extinguished by the Clark County Fire Department and did not damage the interior of the restaurant. The incident occurred just before the planned grand opening ceremony on November 7, which will take place as scheduled.
Details of the fire
According to a spokesperson for Flecha Cantina, the fire started at the base of the propane fire table and spread to a nearby chair, triggering the restaurant’s sprinkler system and prompting an evacuation. Firefighters quickly arrived and were able to contain the flames, turning off the propane tanks to prevent further escalation. The restaurant reopened that same evening, just two hours after the fire.

Located in Las Vegas and opened just three weeks ago on September 14, Flecha Cantina combines traditional Mexican flavors with modern twists, following the success of its Huntington Beach location, which opened in June. The Las Vegas location is part of Wahlberg’s larger vision for his family’s new home in Nevada, where they moved from California in 2022.

Wahlberg’s move to Las Vegas has allowed him more opportunities for film projects and given his children the chance to pursue their own interests. “Being able to give my kids a better life and go on and chase their dreams… this made a lot more sense for us,” Wahlberg shared.
Despite the unexpected fire, Wahlberg’s restaurant is continuing with its opening celebration and the Las Vegas location is ready to welcome customers once again.
