Mark Wahlberg’s Las Vegas restaurant, Flecha Cantina, encountered a minor setback when a fire broke out on the patio on Nov. 6. The fire, caused by a defective propane fire pit, was quickly extinguished by the Clark County Fire Department and did not damage the restaurant’s interior. The incident occurred just before Wahlberg’s planned ribbon-cutting ceremony on Nov. 7, which is set to proceed as scheduled.
Details of the Fire
According to a Flecha Cantina spokesperson, the fire started at the base of the propane fire table and spread to a nearby chair, triggering the restaurant’s sprinkler system and prompting an evacuation. Firefighters arrived promptly and were able to contain the flames, shutting off the propane tanks to prevent further escalation. The restaurant reopened the same evening, just two hours after the fire.
About Flecha Cantina
Located in Las Vegas and opened just three weeks ago on Sept. 14, Flecha Cantina blends traditional Mexican flavors with modern twists, following the success of its Huntington Beach location, which opened in June. The Las Vegas location is part of Wahlberg’s broader vision for his family’s new home in Nevada, where they relocated from California in 2022.
Wahlberg’s New Life in Las Vegas
Wahlberg’s move to Las Vegas has allowed him more opportunities for film projects and given his children the chance to pursue their own interests. “To be able to give my kids a better life and follow and pursue their dreams…this made a lot more sense for us,” Wahlberg shared.
Despite the unexpected fire, Wahlberg’s restaurant is continuing with its opening celebration, and the Las Vegas location is ready to welcome patrons once again.
