Charli XCX joins Billie Eilish as the latest Artists to Don their Chucks for a Converse Collab

It’s no secret that superstar Charli XCX has had a pretty major year so far, but it’s about to get bigger and better. The music icon and proprietor of the Brat summer just announced a new partnership with Converse, continuing the footwear brand’s legacy of supporting musical talent.

As Hypebae reports, the announcement sees Charli celebrating her well-documented love of the classic Chuck Taylor All-Star, featuring in a holiday campaign lensed by Sharna Osborne. “I wear my Chucks so much they have holes in them, so I was really excited to work with Converse so I could get a new pair. They’re iconic,” says Charli in an official statement.

Earlier this month, Billie Eilish showed off her love for her Chucks with her own, “By You” collab. Since the artist had been known to rock all kinds of “Chuck” variations so it only felt natural that a Billie Eilish x Converse collaboration would happen, and just in time for her brand-new album, Hit Me Hard and Soft, to drop and kicking off her world tour.

Billie’s collab, which was cruelly only available for seven days, put a unique spin on the two classic Converse silhouettes: the classic “Chuck Taylor All Star” and the bold “Chuck Taylor All Star Lift Platform.” The best part of Eilish’s collab was that the kicks were fully customizable just for you, including selecting your shoe of choice, and tailoring every single detail from the color and the laces to Billie-inspired graphics. Even the Converse “Chuck” patch could be personalized, and lyrics from her latest album were also available as a sleek black-and-white midsole print, plus other cool touches like a clear outsole showcasing symbols from Billie’s musical universe.

Charli and Billie aren’t the only celebs to jump on the Converse collab train. They join an impressive roster that includes Tyler, The Creator, Blondie, Kurt Cobain AC/DC, and Metallica Chuck Taylors, alongside fashion-forward names like Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Alexis Sablone, Rick Owens, Isabel Marant and Feng Chen Wang.

Currently, the details of what the Converse x Charli XCX partnership will involve are being kept tightly under wraps, but we expect more details to land in the coming months.
