NXT Ushers in a New Era with Fresh Championship Titles on CW Network Premiere

In celebration of NXT’s new chapter, the brand unveiled redesigned championship belts during its October 1 episode, which also marked its debut on the CW Network.

WWE Senior Vice President of Talent Development Creative, Shawn Michaels, kicked off the show by addressing the historic moment. He emphasized that a fresh era on a new network deserved new titles, revealing updated NXT Championship belts.

Michaels then teased that history would be made throughout the night, setting the stage for a special appearance. Triple H, who played a pivotal role in shaping NXT into its current form, returned to the ring alongside Michaels. Their reunion marked a symbolic moment for NXT fans, as Triple H had to step away due to a cardiac event in 2021.

Since then, Shawn Michaels has taken over, steering NXT forward. In July 2022, following Vince McMahon’s retirement, Triple H assumed control of WWE creative and was later named WWE’s Chief Content Officer.

The introduction of the new titles and Triple H’s return set an exciting tone for NXT’s next chapter.
