As we unpack the biggest fall/winter 2024 trends from the runways, there are many fashion must-have categories to dive into for fall, but as Who What Wear reports, one continues to be the most requested: boots.
So, what will the top boot trends look like this fall? Many of the biggest boots spotted on the runways and the market have returned to classic styles. Suede is standing out as one of the key materials of the season across everything from outerwear to bags, and boots are yet another area where suede is dominating. Other styles such as riding boots and leather boots have a sense of timelessness. Perhaps the trendiest style of the season is animal print boots, including conversation-starting leopard and snakeskin styles.
Below, shop the top boot trends to know for fall 2024.
Suede
It’s safe to say that suede will be one of the biggest trends for fall 2024, period. It is prevailing across categories and already being named one of the best things to invest in for the season by fashion’s best-dressed insiders. Add a pair of great suede boots into your closet to tap into the trend. We’re especially seeing versions in knee-high silhouettes in shades of brown.
Riding
Riding boots have been returning for many seasons and fall 2024 is no exception. On the runways, Gucci had a particularly noteworthy pair finished in a mossy green that will no doubt be one of the most in-demand boots of the season. With the rise of preppy and polished styles, it’s no surprise to see the classic styles continue to be a big part of the fashion conversation.
Stacked Heal Leather
Sleek leather boots with stacked heels have started showing up in the collections of practically every shoe designer for fall. Noteworthy styles are designed with smooth leather, taller-than-expected heels, and details such as hardware-embellished straps.
Animal Print
Animals prints took hold of the fall/winter 2024 runways at brands including Alaïa, Michael Kors, and Givenchy, taking on the form on head-to-toe looks as well as great accessories. While kitten heels may be a more subtle way to integrate the trend into your wardrobe, early adopters and maximalist dressers will opt for boots with animal prints this fall. Think anything from leopard to snakeskin.
