Foo Fighters Drop Out of Soundside Music Festival

The Foo Fighters have pulled out of their headlining performance at Connecticut’s Soundside Music Festival, where they were slated to share the stage with Noah Kahan on Saturday, Sept. 28.

The band shared the news on Instagram, stating, “Foo Fighters will no longer be appearing at this weekend’s Soundside Music Festival. Please check the festival website for more information.” While no specific reason for the cancellation was provided, it comes shortly after frontman Dave Grohl revealed personal news.

On Sept. 10, Grohl shared on Instagram that he had recently welcomed a child outside of his marriage, and is working to rebuild trust with his family. “I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her. I love my wife and children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness,” Grohl wrote, requesting privacy for all involved.

The Foo Fighters’ last performance was a private event in Anaheim on Sept. 6, with their final public concert taking place in Seattle on Aug. 18.

It’s unclear if Soundside Festival will find a replacement act for the Foo Fighters. The festival lineup still features Noah Kahan, Goo Goo Dolls, Fleet Foxes, and Boyz II Men on Saturday, with Jack White and Greta Van Fleet headlining Sunday.
