Priyanka Chopra Jonas Recalls Miss World Win and Wardrobe Malfunction

Priyanka Chopra Jonas recently revisited a major milestone in her life that was almost marred by a wardrobe mishap. While watching her husband, Nick Jonas, perform with The Jonas Brothers at The O2 in London on September 16, the Quantico star, 42, was reminded of the Miss World pageant held at the same venue 24 years ago.

In an Instagram post on September 17, Chopra Jonas reminisced about that eventful night in 2000. “I was crowned Miss World at this arena 24 years ago,” she shared. “It was called the Millennium Dome back then. I’ll never forget my little 18-year-old, excited, nervous and competitive self.”

Chopra Jonas then revealed a behind-the-scenes moment, explaining how a wardrobe malfunction almost stole the spotlight. “A memory I will never forget… balancing on pencil heels with a gorgeous Hemant Trivedi dress that was falling off the entire evening because my body tape would not stay on,” she recalled. “If you google the pictures, after I win, I look like I’m doing a namaste in gratitude but I’m actually desperately trying to keep my dress up.”

Attending the concert with her 2-year-old daughter, Malti, Chopra Jonas described it as a “full circle” moment. She also shared on The Jennifer Hudson Show that her husband had watched her Miss World win as a child, possibly hinting at a destined connection. “Maybe,” she said when asked about their fate. “I do believe that people are meant to be with each other.”
