Just as New York Fashion Week officially wrapped up, the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) announced the nominees and honorees for this year’s CFDA Fashion Awards on Thursday.
As Fashionista reports, Diotima’s Rachel Scott received a nomination for American Womenswear Designer of the Year, joining Tory Burch, Thom Browne, Marc Jacobs and Proenza Schouler’s Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez. In celebration of up-and-coming designers, the Shop with Google American Emerging Designer of the Year includes nods for Tanner Richie and Fletcher Kasell of Tanner Fletcher, Presley Oldham and more.
“This year’s nominees and honorees represent the gamut of American fashion creativity and excellence,” Steven Kolb, CEO of the CFDA, said in a statement. “As our biggest fundraiser of the year, the CFDA Fashion Awards presented by Amazon Fashion significantly contribute to the CFDA Scholarship Fund to support tomorrow’s generation of designers and future nominees and honorees of this special night and we are grateful to Amazon Fashion for their leadership.”
Presented in partnership with Amazon Fashion, the CFDA Awards ceremony and dinner will be held at the American Museum of Natural History on Oct. 28. Keep scrolling to see all of the nominees and honorees for this year’s awards.
