Mötley Crüe has officially announced their upcoming three-song EP, Cancelled, set to drop on October 4. As a preview, the legendary rockers have released a studio version of their cover of the Beastie Boys’ iconic hit “Fight for Your Right,” a track they’ve been energizing fans with during their recent live performances.
The Cancelled EP will also include the previously unreleased title track and the single “Dogs of War,” which was the band’s first new music in five years and marked the debut of their new guitarist, John 5, formerly of Rob Zombie. John 5 brings his unique style to both the Beastie Boys cover and the other tracks on the EP.
Reflecting on the new project, Mötley Crüe shared in a statement, “Getting back into the studio together was an incredible experience. What began as a few demo ideas evolved into this EP, produced by Bob Rock. We’re excited to hit the studio again soon and continue creating new music.”
Cancelled is set to showcase Mötley Crüe’s enduring creativity and rock spirit, promising fans more of the hard-hitting sound they’ve come to love.
