A$AP Rocky and Rihanna’s children might be huge fans of Cocomelon, but the same can’t be said for their dad. In a recent cover story for Billboard, published on August 22, the Harlem rapper (born Rakim Mayers) humorously admitted that his sons RZA, 2, and Riot, 1, have a taste in music that drives him a little crazy.
“That stuff is driving me nuts!” Rocky joked about the popular kids’ show. “Don’t tell my girl I said that. I’m totally joking. I don’t care. She’s probably tired of it, too.”
Despite the challenges of raising two toddlers while being high-profile entertainers, Rocky and Rihanna seem to be navigating parenthood with ease. The “Praise the Lord” artist couldn’t help but praise Rihanna for her understanding and support.
“It’s amazing how we balance our chaotic schedules. [The relationship] is going great,” Rocky shared. “There’s no one more perfect. When things are hectic, she gets it. And when our schedules are free, that’s when we spend the most time together. It’s all about understanding and compatibility.”
The couple, who were close friends for nearly a decade before making their relationship public in November 2020, recently celebrated their son Riot’s first birthday. Rocky marked the occasion with a heartfelt Instagram post, captioning a carousel of photos, “HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY TO MY 2ND BORN SON RIOT ROSE MAYERS ❤️.”
