Avril Lavigne Kicks Off Bedford Park’s Summer Concert Series with Electrifying Performance

Canadian pop-rock sensation Avril Lavigne launched the summer concert series at Bedford Park on Saturday with an electrifying performance. The singer made a dramatic entrance, appearing atop a pink speaker stack clad in a custom bedazzled leather jacket, and kicked off her highly-anticipated set with the hit song “Girlfriend.”

Lavigne continued to captivate the audience with a set-list featuring her iconic tracks, including “Complicated,” “Bite Me,” and the crowd-favorite “Sk8er Boi.” In a special treat for her Bedford fans, Lavigne invited audience members onstage to join her in a spirited cover of Blink-182’s “All The Small Things” before concluding her set with the heartfelt ballad “I’m With You.”

The weekend’s musical festivities didn’t stop there. Jess Glynne graced the Bedford Park stage on Sunday, and legendary singer Tom Jones is set to perform on Thursday. The series continues with Pete Tong and his Ibiza Classics on Friday, followed by a performance from James on Saturday. The summer concert series will wrap up on Sunday, July 7, with a highly-anticipated show by Nile Rodgers & CHIC.
