Quavo, one-third of the iconic rap group Migos, has officially entered the spirits industry with the launch of his own brand, Huncho’s White X Cognac. The launch party took place on Thursday night (June 6) at the upscale Italian restaurant Carbone in New York City, setting the stage for a luxurious evening of cognac tasting and premier dining.
Known for his chart-topping hits and lavish lifestyle, Quavo celebrated this new venture surrounded by about 40 friends and family members. The intimate gathering enjoyed four courses of Carbone’s finest dishes paired with tastings of the newly unveiled White X Cognac, a collaboration with Sazerac Spirits.
Quavo, whose real name is Quavious Keyate Marshall, has often rapped about his penchant for “good drank” in his music. However, the idea of creating his own cognac brand only materialized recently. “I just thought I’d stand in front of something and be the face of some good drank,” Quavo shared with media outlets at the event. “White X is unapologetic and they’re ready to bend the rules a little bit, so it’s only right they choose the frontman of the culture to represent that.”
He elaborated on why the partnership felt so natural: “They were looking for someone who matched the same aesthetic as me and I just think it made perfect sense. We’re looking forward to coming into the industry and f—ing s— up.”
The mood at Carbone was celebratory as Quavo raised his glass for a toast. “We gonna have some great years to come — it’s a new beginning,” he declared. “We represent culture and we’re unapologetic, of course. We gon’ stand on business at all times.”
The launch of Huncho’s White X Cognac marks Quavo’s foray into the world of premium spirits, adding another dimension to his already diverse career. The new cognac promises to reflect the rapper’s bold style and commitment to quality, aiming to make a significant impact in the spirits industry.
As the night drew to a close, guests left with not only a taste of Quavo’s latest endeavor but also a sense of anticipation for what the future holds for Huncho’s White X Cognac.
