Jason Sudeikis had some cheeky questions for Travis Kelce about his relationship with Taylor Swift during the 15th annual Big Slick Celebrity Weekend charity fundraiser in Kansas City, Missouri, on June 1.
In a playful skit, the 48-year-old actor, in character with a fake mustache, sunglasses, and a cap, sat at a table with actors Robert Smigel, George Wendt, and Kelce. The group was part of the charity event’s entertainment, and Sudeikis took the opportunity to tease Kelce about his high-profile romance.
After a humorous discussion about Kelce asking Swift to fund a new stadium, which the NFL star laughed off, Sudeikis, still in character, leaned in for a more personal question. “Hey Travis, real talk OK, just the guys here…” he began, adjusting his sunglasses. “When are you going to make an honest woman out of her?” he asked, referring to Swift.
The audience erupted in cheers as Kelce, 34, smiled and rubbed his beard but remained tight-lipped. Sudeikis continued, joking that “Taylor doesn’t need to be working anymore,” referencing recent comments by Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker against working women.
The Chiefs tight end, dressed in a print shirt, black pants, and a black cap, was also joined on stage by teammate Patrick Mahomes. The charity event featured hosts like Paul Rudd, Fortune Feimster, and Heidi Gardner.
Earlier in the evening, Kelce was seen in high spirits, expressing excitement about the event. “It’s about to get crazy, This is going to get f—-ing crazy. I don’t know what I’m ready for right now, but I’m ready to have some fun,” he said in a backstage video posted on X (formerly Twitter).
Kelce and Swift publicly confirmed their romance in September 2023, when Swift attended a Kansas City Chiefs game. Their relationship has been relatively private, though Kelce has spoken about Swift in interviews, and she has seemingly referenced him in songs on her new album, The Tortured Poets Department.
The Big Slick Celebrity Weekend is a significant event in Kansas City, raising funds for local children’s charities, and this year’s installment proved to be both entertaining and successful.
