Doja Cat, the dynamic “Scarlet” rapper, recently took to X (formerly Twitter) to clarify the intended audience for her music, emphasizing that it’s not designed for children. The 28-year-old artist expressed her frustration over parents bringing their kids to her shows, given the explicit nature of her lyrics. “idk what the f–k you think this is but i don’t make music for children so leave your kids at home motherf–ker,” she posted, highlighting the adult themes prevalent in her tracks.
As she prepares for the international leg of her Scarlet Tour, Doja Cat addressed the inappropriateness of her lyrics for young audiences. She pointed out the absurdity of having children at her concerts where she raps about adult experiences and desires in graphic detail. Her statement was blunt and to the point: “Im rapping about c– why are you bringing your offspring to my show,” showcasing her typical no-filter style.
Her performance at Coachella 2024, where she donned scanty attire and lingerie, further cemented her image as an artist who embraces and celebrates hedonism. Beyond her live shows, Doja Cat also released a Funko Pop! figurine based on her Coachella appearance, continuing her trend of bold and unapologetic expressions.
In her recent track “F–k the Girls (FTG)” from the album “Scarlet,” which debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200, Doja Cat explicitly states her stance on not being a role model for children. This declaration and her recent comments affirm her position on the artistic freedom and the mature content of her music.
