Jennifer Lopez Moved by Brie Larson’s Tearful Tribute at Golden Globes

Jennifer Lopez, the multi-talented artist known for her “On the Floor” hits, recently reflected on a heartwarming moment she shared with Brie Larson at the 2024 Golden Globe Awards. During an interview with Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1, Lopez, 54, opened up about the encounter, describing it as “overwhelming” and deeply moving.

Lopez recalled how Larson, the star of “Captain Marvel,” approached her on the red carpet, expressing her long-held admiration for Lopez’s career. The moment was visibly emotional for both, with Larson tearfully acknowledging the impact of Lopez’s 1997 film “Selena” on her decision to pursue acting.

For Lopez, the interaction was reminiscent of her own inspiration drawn from watching Rita Moreno in “West Side Story” as a young girl. She empathized with Larson’s sentiment, understanding the profound influence an artist can have. “I saw myself, and I saw the little girl, and to think that I did that for somebody was really, really overwhelming,” Lopez shared.

The exchange culminated in both women tearing up, with Larson calling it a dream come true. She praised Lopez’s work ethic, while Lopez humorously mentioned having a tequila shot just before their conversation.

Meanwhile, Lopez is gearing up for an exciting February, with the release of her new song “Can’t Get Enough,” the lead single from her upcoming album “This Is Me…Now.” The album will be accompanied by a Prime Video film, both set to drop on February 16th. Lopez revealed that the album, completed a year ago, inspired her to conceptualize the film, expressing her desire to share her life’s journey and artistic evolution through this project.
