Michael Fassbender’s Impressive Physical Feat in David Fincher’s ‘The Killer’

In a fascinating revelation, Michael Fassbender, starring in David Fincher’s ‘The Killer’, has showcased an extraordinary physical feat that’s grabbing attention. During a casual chat in Variety’s “Actors On Actors” series with Carey Mulligan, an intriguing aspect of Fassbender’s role came to light – his ability to perform fingertip push-ups, or as the British call them, “press-ups.”

In a film where Fassbender’s character exudes supreme confidence and prowess, one particular scene captures him doing these push-ups, a testament to his physical strength and dedication. Mulligan, intrigued like many viewers, questioned Fassbender about his preparation for this demanding part. Surprisingly, Fassbender, though initially confident of doing 100, admitted to achieving 10 consecutive push-ups – a feat Mulligan found astonishing.

Fassbender’s dedication didn’t stop there. He shared that he did a total of 260 push-ups for the scene, a number influenced by Fincher’s perfectionism in filmmaking, known for demanding multiple takes. Despite later regretting his initial claim, Fassbender’s commitment resulted in a noteworthy cinematic moment, albeit brief, demonstrating the physical rigor actors often undergo for their roles.
