GWAR, the notorious satirical metal band, is set to embark on the “Age Of Befuddlement” tour in 2024, promising a wild ride for fans. Starting March 3 in Norfolk, Virginia, and concluding on March 30 in Baltimore, Maryland, the 24-date tour is set to captivate audiences across North America. The journey includes an anticipated performance at Denver’s historic Red Rocks Amphitheatre, among other major venues.
Lead singer Blöthar The Berserker teases an unforgettable experience, pledging a trail of mayhem and chaos reminiscent of historical battles. The tour will feature support from bands like CANCER BATS, with select dates including appearances by X-COPS and FUMING MOUTH.
GWAR’s musical legacy continues to evolve, with the recent tenth-anniversary edition of “Battle Maximus” and their latest album “The New Dark Ages.” The latter, released in June 2022, complements a companion graphic novel, “GWAR In The Duoverse Of Absurdity,” offering fans a unique multimedia experience.
The tour and ongoing projects pay homage to the late Dave Brockie, GWAR’s original member, and maintain the band’s reputation for over-the-top performances and a unique blend of music and theater.
