The Rolling Stones, an emblem of rock and roll longevity, are set to mesmerize fans once more with a 16-city U.S. tour starting April 28 in Houston. This tour celebrates their latest album, “Hackney Diamonds,” a critical and commercial success marking their first studio album since 2005. The tour, fittingly sponsored by AARP, includes stops in major cities like Las Vegas, Atlanta, Philadelphia, and Los Angeles, with a special performance at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival on May 2.
Tickets will be available from December 1, continuing the Stones’ tradition of thrilling live performances. The band, consisting of Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, and Ronnie Wood, is still riding high from their 2021 No Filter tour, which marked their return to stadium stages after the pandemic hiatus.
“Hackney Diamonds” has been a hit, topping the U.K. charts and entering the Billboard 200 at No. 3, continuing their record of a top 10 album in each decade since the 1960s. The album’s single “Angry” is also a Grammy nominee for Best Rock Song. This tour is especially poignant as it’s their first following the passing of their legendary drummer, Charlie Watts. With an exciting blend of new tracks and timeless classics, the Stones prove their undying appeal, attracting new generations while keeping their legacy alive.
