Randy Travis Honored in Texas Tribute with Star-Studded Lineup

“A Texas Heroes & Friends Tribute to Randy Travis” is set to light up the Texas Trust CU Theatre in Grand Prairie, Texas, this Wednesday, with an array of musicians paying homage to the country music legend. The tribute show will feature performances of Travis’ 23 No. 1 hits by artists deeply connected to the Texas music scene.

The lineup has expanded to include Paul Overstreet, Ray Benson from Asleep at the Wheel, Casey Donahew, Pecos Hurley, Mike Ryan, Jon Wolfe, Rosie Flores, Waylon Payne, Jolie Holliday, and Sonny Burgess. They join previously announced acts like Clay Walker, Cody Jinks, Joe Nichols, Neal McCoy, and more.

Travis, who has a special bond with Texas since his childhood, now resides in the Dallas-Fort Worth area with his wife, Mary. This event not only celebrates his musical legacy but also supports a cause close to his heart. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Randy Travis Foundation, dedicated to stroke and aphasia awareness and promoting music education in schools.

With Travis’ original touring band accompanying the artists, the evening promises to be a fitting tribute to one of country music’s most revered icons.
