Printed Pantyhose Nails are the Must-Have Mani for Fall

Donning printed pantyhose during the fall and winter months is one of the chicest and sexiest thing you can add to elevate your wardrobe for the season. Now, as an upgrade from the “Black Sheer Pantyhose” nail trend that ruled earlier in the year, the “Printed Pantyhose” manicure has officially become the nail crush of the season.

Patterned pantyhose nails are picking up from where we left off in the aughts, when we wore patterned polka-dot or pin-striped tights underneath denim shorts or miniskirts. And in the age of “aesthetics,” if you haven’t yet decided whether you’re a grungy girl, a cozy girl, or a preppy girl, the good news is the nail trend plays well with all three.

According to Hypebae, the trend of incorporating sheer and nude pantyhose elements into beauty looks will have a major influence during the fall and winter seasons. Notably, makeup brands such as Patrick Ta Beauty‘s latest “Major Dimension” and Kylie Cosmetics “Classic Matte” eyeshadow palette are offering a seductive interpretation of the “Sheer Pantyhose” eye makeup trend.

Hand-selected by nail curator Melanie aka @Overglowedit, her almond nails feature a clean and sleek design. The French tip nails are blacked out yet sheer and are adorned with delicate white polka dots, adding a touch of elegance to the overall design. The three middle nails have a sexy-sheer touch of transparent black, creating a captivating contrast with the rest of the nails. With the “printed Panythose” manicure, the transparent black adds a hint of mystery and allure to the design, while the polka dots and French tips bring a playful and chic element.

According to Glamour UK, the curious thing is that they look as though they’d work just as well on edgy rocker types with stompy boots, heavy liner, and torn tights as they would on a preppy Blair Waldorf type with a plaid miniskirt, velvet Alice in Wonderland headband, and patterned stockings. Or, if you’re into minimalistic tailoring or cozy-girl autumn colors, the good news is that the soft shades of black offer up a neutral that goes with everything, but still offers an interesting twist.

This trend is expected to dominate the upcoming months, making it a must-try for those who want to stay on top of the latest in beauty.
