Apple is helping out the business-oriented boss babes with smaller pockets, releasing an entry-level Apple Pencil at a more accessible price point.
As Hypebae reports, the latest accessory arrives with a matte white finish and flat side that magnetically attaches to the side of the Apple device for easy access and storage. Additionally, it goes to sleep once attached, saving the battery. The Pencil also boasts a hidden USB-C charging port on the side, tucked out of sight with a sliding cap. The Apple Pencil can be used with all iPad models, including the iPad Pro, iPad Air and iPad mini, delivering pixel-perfect accuracy, low latency and tilt sensitivity.
“Apple Pencil has revolutionized note-taking, sketching, and illustrating, unleashing endless possibilities for productivity and creativity,” Bob Borchers, Apple’s VP of Worldwide Product Marketing shares. “Combined with the versatility of iPad, the new Apple Pencil unlocks another great option to experience the magic of digital handwriting, annotation, marking up documents and more.”
It’s worth nothing that the newest Apple Pencil does not have pressure sensitivity or wireless pairing and charging capabilities, as well as the double-tap feature that lets users toggle between tools. These are only available on the first and second generation Apple Pencils.
The new Apple Pencil is priced at $79 USD and is scheduled to go live for purchase in early November.
