Houston Rockets Hire Ex-Celtics Coach Ime Udoka

The Houston Rockets have reportedly hired Ime Udoka, a former assistant coach for the Boston Celtics, as their new head coach. According to sources, the Rockets have been impressed by Udoka’s coaching style and his ability to develop players, and they believe he has the skills and experience necessary to lead the team to success.

Udoka, who played in the NBA for seven seasons, has been coaching in the league since 2010. He has worked as an assistant coach for the San Antonio Spurs, Philadelphia 76ers, Brooklyn Nets, and most recently the Boston Celtics, where he helped the team reach the Eastern Conference Finals in the 2020 NBA playoffs.

The Rockets had a disappointing season in 2021, finishing with a 17-55 record, the worst in the league. However, with the addition of Udoka, the team is hoping to turn things around and compete for a playoff spot next season.

Udoka’s hiring marks a new era for the Rockets, who are looking to rebuild after several seasons of underperforming. Fans are excited to see what Udoka can bring to the team and how he will help develop the young talent on the roster.

The Rockets will have a busy offseason, as they look to make some key additions to the roster through the draft and free agency. With Udoka at the helm, the team is hoping to build a strong foundation for the future and become a perennial contender in the NBA once again.
