Coco Jones recently performed for Genius’ Open Mic series, choosing to sing her current single, “ICU.” The track produced by Dj Camper is off of Jones’ What I Didn’t Tell You (Deluxe) and standard version. The track was originally released as the second single off of Jones’ debut album. The Deluxe version included four additional tracks, including one song with Babyface titled, “Simple.”
While speaking about the song, Jones stated, “[It’s] about the push and pull of being in a relationship where the circumstances have changed. Growing in our career and personal goals, but growing apart at the same time.”
ICU has garnered over 7.5 million streams as of now, while the official music video on YouTube has over 4.4 million views. ICU is also being played on Urban Radio and has reached number 16 for the week ending on February 25th. Marking her very first top 20 single on this radio format.
Meanwhile Jones has kept fans interested by teaming up with Leon Thomas for a collaboration with Spotify, covering “Until the End of Time,” originally performed by Justin Timberlake and Beyoncé.
Coco Jones will also be performing at the Broccoli City Festival held on July 16th, headlined by Brent Faiyaz. prior to the festival, Jones will also be performing at the Howard Theatre in Washington, D.C., on March 12th.
