The Lady Rebels at UNLV marked a new accomplishment as they got going to a 5-0 start so far for the first time in team history after an 84-58 win at San Jose State Wednesday night. Essence Booker had a season high 22 points, while Desi-Rae Young got her third consecutive double double with 15 points and 11 rebounds. Alyssa Duranzo Frescas hit four 3 pointers for 14 points total. Frescas got the game started via three consecutive three pointers. UNLV went on to hold the lead as they accomplished a season high 56 percent from the field.
The Lady Rebels were able to take advantage of 23 Spartan turnovers to score forty points total. UNLV Ultimately, swept their three games in California marking their first 5-0 start to conference play since the 1993-1994 season when it was a member of the Big West Conference.
