John Legend recently announced that him and his wife Chrissy Teigen welcomed their third child to the world. He reportedly shared the news during a private concert on Friday, January 13th, the same day that Teigen gave birth.
Legend stated, “What a blessed day,” as well as adding that due to being at the hospital, he hadn’t gotten much sleep prior to the event.
Someone at the event took to Twitter to say, “@johnlegend just told us he had a baby this morning #congratulations.”
The news comes two years after the pair lost a baby to a miscarriage. When Teigen initially announced her pregnancy this time, she admitted to being nervous of the announcement. She wrote on Instagram, “The last few years have been a blur of emotions to say the least, but joy has filled our home and hearts again, 1 billion shots later (in the leg lately, as u can see!) we have another on the way. Every appointment I’ve said to myself, ‘ok if it’s healthy today I’ll announce’ but then I breathe a sigh of relief to hear a heartbeat and decide I’m just too nervous still. I don’t think I’ll ever walk out of an appointment with more excitement than nerves but so far, everything is perfect and beautiful and I’m feeling hopeful and amazing. Ok phew it’s been very hard keeping this in for so long!”
The couple already had two other children together, with six year old Luna Simone and four year old Miles Theodore.
