Bucs’ Jake Camarda is Praised for Punt in Closing Moments in a Game Against the Panthers

With only 42 seconds remaining in the game between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Carolina Panthers on Sunday, the Buccaneers were forced to punt. Jake Camarda fumbled the snap but managed to run and kick the ball away with his right foot. His efforts helped avoid a blocked punt or an even worse outcome and a penalty on the play gave the Buccaneers a second chance at winning the game. The second attempt at a punt was buried 41 yards and Carolina had to start at their own 8 yard line.

Camarda was a fourth round pick out of Georgia in 2022 and was fresh off of a national championship when het got the starting punter spot. Camarda has been in all 16 games for Tampa Bay this season.

Brady was able to get three touchdown passes and a rushing touchdown to lead the Buccaneers to a 30-24 win over the Panthers and clinching the NFC South title. He went 34 of 45 with 432 passing yards, marking the first time he had over 400 passing yard since week 16 against the New York Jets last season.
