Stevie Wonder Recently Presented the House Full of Toys Benefit

Stevie Wonder and his guests Gregory Porter, Trombone Shorty, and Jody Watley had every attendee inside Los Angeles’ Microsoft Theater singing and dancing on Saturday December 17th. House Full of Toys held through Wonder’s nonprofit We Are You Foundation, is for the benefit of children, people with disabilities, and families that are in need, and has concertgoers donating an unwrapped toy.

The event is now in its 24th year and had a performer lineup that made for a wonderful night. Besides the aforementioned performers, rounding out the night were Tina and Teddy Campbell, the John Paul McGee Trio with Amber Bullock, Kimberly Brewer, and Wonder’s daughters Zaiah and Nyah.

Wonder stated on the night, “I love all of you so much. I give all praise to God for all the songs I’ve written or co-written. If you understand love, you can’t spend one second entertaining the spirit of hate … Let’s show the world how to love again.” Prior to leaving the stage a smiling Wonder added, “I wanted to give you all everything I could give you … I love you; God bless you — and we are done!”
