With Avatar: The Way of Water hitting theaters today, Friday, December 16th, a day prior to the release, The Weeknd released his cinematic contribution to the soundtrack of the film, “Nothing Is Lost (You Give Me Strength).”
“Nothing Is Lost,” was produced by the Swedish House Mafia and released on December 15th. The song was teased before in the Avatar: The Way of the Water trailer that was released on December seventh.
Meanwhile, The Weeknd was also recently named the 2022 recipient of the Allan Slaight Humanitarian Spirit Award in honor of his commitment to charitable causes. He is the first musician to recieve both the organization’s Humanitarian Spirit Award and the Allan Slaight Impact Award, with the latter presented tot him during his 2014 Canadian Walk of Fame ceremony.
The Weeknd stated, “That this is a Canadian award sits deep with me. Allan and The Slaight Family Foundation are known across the country for their generous philanthropy, and it means a lot to be acknowledged, and is an honor to be recognized along with the legendary Canadian artists who received this award before me.”
