Mary J. Blige has announced a special concert to celebrate the new year. The pre-New Year’s Eve show is set for December 29th, in Jacksonville, Florida at VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena, with K. Michelle and Queen Naija joining Blige as special guests. Music off of Blige’s last album, Good Morning Gorgeous is going to be a part of the setlist in addition to her most recognizable hits.
While touring for her Good Morning Gorgeous Tour earlier on this fall, Blige played her current hits, such as “Here With Me” and “Good Morning Gorgeous,” as well as songs from her catalog. Blige also nabbed six nominations for the 2023 Grammys, including Album of the Year, her first as a lead artist. She also earned a nomination for the title track, one in the general field (Record of the Year) and two in R&B categories (Best R&B Song and Best Traditional R&B Performance).
