Aerosmith Cancels Their Second Las Vegas Due to Steven Tyler’s Health

Aerosmith had to cancel two shows as their frontman Steven Tyler is recovering from an undisclosed ailment. The band tweeted on Friday night, “It is with great disappointment that we are forced to cancel tonight’s show in Las Vegas due to Steven feeling unwell and unable to perform.” Although Aerosmith initially said Tyler was “expected to make a full recovery for Monday night’s Las Vegas show,” the performance, set for December. fifth, was canceled.

While explaining the second show cancelation, Tyler explained, “On the advice of my doctor, I’m taking more time to rest, There is nowhere we’d rather be than on stage surrounded by the greatest fans in the world.”

Both of the cancelations were a part of Aerosmith’s Deuces Are Wild residency at the park MGM hotel casino in Sin City. Two further residency dates set for December 8th and 11th, still remain on the band’s schedule. The band initially announced their run of 2022 residency dates back in March and planned to perform in Las Vegas in the Summer, However, those shows were pushed back as Tyler had entered rehab.

At that time, the band wrote, “As many of you know, our beloved brother Steven has worked hard on his sobriety for many years, After foot surgery to prepare for the stage and the necessity of pain management during the process, he has recently relapsed and voluntarily entered a treatment program to concentrate on his health and recovery.”
