Sean “Diddy” Combs and Bryson Tiller’s “Gotta Move On,” has hit number one on R&B radio this week. It is only Tiller’s second time doing so, with his first time at the top being back in May of 2019 for his collaboration with H.E.R. for the track, “Could’ve Been.” Gotta Move On has accumulated over 17 million streams via Spotify since its release on June17th. With the official video gathering over 12 million views on YouTube, with Tayana Taylor directing it.
Diddy also released a maxi-single featuring three different variations of “Gotta Move On,” that were co-produced along with J-Louis, Teddy Walton, RNSOM, SllimWav and Roark Bailey. Gotta Move On is the lead single off of Diddy’s untitled album, that will be released through Love Records, his R&B label that is in partnership with Motown Records.
Comb’s stated that, “Music has always been my first love, Love Records is the next chapter is about getting back to the love and making the best music of my life, For the label I’m focused on creating timeless R&B music with the next generation of artists and producers. Motown is the perfect partner for my album and I’m excited to add to its legacy.”
Motown’s CEO and chairwoman Ethiopia Habtemariam added that, “This is a major moment for Motown, as Diddy is one of this century’s most important voices in music and culture; To be a part of his next evolution and album is nothing short of monumental.” According to a press release, the album is set to release in early 2023.
Diddy will also be the A&R, curator and executive producer for his upcoming album.
