PAL wants you to Get a Pal for Your Pet!

To celebrate the special bond and joy of multiple pets in a household, Pets Add Life (PAL) officially designated November 19 as National Get a Pal For Your Pet Day!

As the PAL website states, the organization loves to “promote the joys and benefits of pet ownership… and trust us, there are a lot! Our goal is to educate pet parents about things like the human-animal bond, responsible pet ownership, and how and where to find your next pet. How do we do it? Through videos, quizzes, contests and more that give you all the pet feels.”

Here are just a few reasons why PAL wants everyone to consider becoming a multiple pet household….

  1. Everyone needs a friend

We all long for companionship and our pets are no different! A new, loving addition to the family could be the best friend your pet needs! They’ll have someone to play with, nap with and enjoy yummy treats with!

  1. They will be there for each other

Sometimes, life gets the best of us, and we don’t get to spend as much time with our pets as we’d like. If you were a multiple pet owner, your pet would have a friend to help keep them company throughout the day while you’re gone.

  1. Health benefits for you and your pet

Research shows that pets can improve our health, but did you know that pets can improve each other’s health as well. Pets increase their friends’ overall mood and wellbeing with lots of playtime and exercise.

  1. More companionship

Studies show love and companionship as one of the top reasons for owning pets… now think about doubling that! Owning multiple pets means even more snuggles, laughs, and smiles for the whole family!

  1. It’s the right thing to do!

With millions of animals still looking for forever homes we encourage you to consider becoming a multiple pet home. If you have room in your heart and home for more than one animal, save a life and adopt a shelter pal for your pet!

So, what are you waiting for? Change your profile picture, tell everyone about the #Pals4Pets campaign and go get a pal for your pet! And when you do, share photos with PAL on their Facebook page.
