According to apnews.com, Boise State quarterback, Hank Bachmeier fully intends to transfer with the Broncos off to a 2-2 start this season. A Boise State spokesperson confirmed that Bachmeier filed paperwork to initiate the transfer process. Bachmeier has told ESPN that he is looking to find a situation that will allow him to win games and prepare himself for the NFL. He currently still has two year of eligibility left, and has played in 29 career games at Boise State, with his best season being last year, when he threw for 3,079 yards and 20 touchdowns over the course of the season. Bachmeier has so far started all four games this season for the Broncos, however, in his last game he was only 13 for 34 passing for 93 yards and one touchdown.
Boise State coach Andy Avalos made a statement on Tuesday that Taylen Green is going to be starting quarterback in Friday’s game against San Diego State. In other news, Boise State offensive coordinator, Tim Plough has been fired and replaced for the rest of the remaining season by former Boise State and NFL head coach Dirk Koetter.
