Reba McEntire Says a ‘Reba’ Reboot May Not Be Coming Anytime Soon

According to tasteofcountry.com, Reba McEntire has hinted at the chance of a revival of her Reba sitcom, however, now it seems fans may have to wait longer for that to happen. On ABC’s Good Morning America, Reba said that despite interest from the cast and crew of the show, reboot plans have been stalled. Reba when asked stated that, “Unfortunately not. I thought we were getting really close, But nope. Not gonna be able to do it for right now. But we’ll keep seeing if we can get in there somewhere.”

Meanwhile, Reba is concentrated on a different role, where she has been cast as as villain. Reba and he rboyfriend Rex Linn are playing husband and wife Sunny and back Barnes on the third season of the ABC drama Big Sky. McEntire and Linn have acted in the same works before with them being coworkers predating their relationship by several years, dating back to a 1991 film, The Gambler. According to McEntire, “He makes me rehearse so much. By the time we get on the set, I know my lines, your lines, your lines … but it’s fun.”

McEntire and Linn will also be costarring in another project this summer for a Lifetime movie titled, The Hammer, along with McEntire’s old Reba co-star Melissa Peterman. The hammer is set to arrive sometime in 2023.
