According to hollywoodreporter.com, Wendy Williams recently entered a wellness facility for help managing her health issues, according to her publicist, “She is taking some time to focus on her health and wellness as she prepares for a major comeback for the next level in her career with The Wendy Experience Podcast, Ms. Williams is being treated by a team of some of the best doctors in the world. We ask for your prayers and well wishes during this time.” Williams, 58 years old, stepped back from The Wendy Williams Show in 2021, stating multiple health issues as the reason, including Graves’ disease and lymphedema. The show’s producer announced that Sherri Shepherd would be a full time replacement in February of 2021. The show is now called Sherri and premiered on September 12th.
An investigation into Williams’ departure by The Hollywood Reporter showed that staff were concerned for her well being and her erratic behavior. Back in May, Williams began a legal battle with Wells Fargo, who froze her assets and stated she was an incapacitated person and the victim of undue influence and financial exploitation, with a New York judge appointing a financial guardianship.
