According to ultimateclassicrock.com, John Mellencamp recently announced a reissue of his classic 1985 album Scarecrow, which he is previewing to fans with a previously recorded unreleased demo of his top Ten hit, “Small Town.” Scarecrow Delux will be on shelves on November fourth as a two CD box set with a remastered version of the original album, alternative versions and unreleased bonus tracks, a photo booklet and new liner notes by author and music critic Anthony DeCurtis. His fans can also buy the super deluxe edition box set, that includes the two-CD collection, a 2022 Atmos mix of the original album on Blu-Ray CD, a 180-gram LP, an original picture sleeve of the “Small Town” 7-inch single, a photo booklet, lithographs, poster and essay. Preorders are available for the Scarecrow Deluxe now, with the album originally releasing in August of 1985.
