According to sports.yahoo.com, Buffalo Bills tight end Dawson Knox has agreed to a four year extension with the team, the Bills announced on Wednesday. Knox’s new contract is a four year, $53.6 million dollar deal with more than $31 million guaranteed, according to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo. The $13.6 million annual average salary ranks sixth in the NFL. In 2021 Knox had a career season for the Bills, catching 49 receptions for 587 yards and nine touchdowns. Knox’s nine touchdowns was tied with three other tight ends for having the most in the league at the Tight End position; Mark Andrews, Travis Kelce, and Hunter Henry. The progression of Josh Allen and the improvement of the Bills as a whole, has led to Knox becoming a large part of the offense, finishing with third most receptions and second most touchdowns even with missing two games in the middle of the season. Having Knox and Diggs both locked in, the Bills are looking for a better postseason run this year, with the Bills currently sitting as the current Super Bowl betting favorites at +600, according to BetMGM.
