John Legend and Ariana Grande’s ‘Beauty and the Beast’ Has Gone Platinum

According to ratedrnb.com, John Legend and Ariana Grande recently earned a new award from the Recording Industry Association of America. The collaboration between the two titled, “Beauty and the Beast,” from Disney’s Beauty and the Beast soundtrack, is now certified platinum with over one million units sold. The song has also gathered more than 287 million views on their music video that is posted to YouTube. As Legend celebrates, he is also getting ready to release his double album, LEGEND, on September 9th through Republic Records. The 24 track album will include Legend’s previously shared songs including, “Dope” featuring JID, “Honey” featuring Muni Long and “All She Wanna Do” featuring Saweetie. The album will also include appearances from Jazmine Sullivan, Jhené Aiko, Ty Dolla $ign, Ledisi, Amber Mark, Rick Ross and others. On top of that, on October 14th, Legend will continue his Las Vegas residency, Love In Las Vegas, at Zappos Theatre at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. Legend is scheduled to play eight shows through October 29th.
