According to ratedrnb.com, Global Citizen has announced the lineup for its tenth annual Global Citizen Festival. With the festival scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 24 in New York City and Accra, Ghana. Mariah Carey will be headlining the event at Central Park in New York City amongst others. Other performers that will be feature din New York City will include Jonas Brothers, Metallica, Mickey Guyton, Rosalía and more. In Accra, Usher will be headlining with H.E.R., Stormzy, SZA and Tems also on the main stage. Other performers will be announced later on. According to an official press release from the 2022 Global Citizen Festival they, “will call on world leaders at the United Nations General Assembly and ahead of the G20 and COP27 in November to step up and invest $600 million into the future of women and girls, close the annual $10 billion climate financing shortfall, deliver $500 million to help African farmers respond to the global food crisis, and provide urgent relief from crushing debts to End Extreme Poverty NOW.”
