According to abc7chicago.com, Cherie Animashaun, teen author and founder of nonprofit Girls Who Lead, will be hosting a free event for Illinois girls to learn about various careers. Some of the guests for the event are pastry chefs who will inspire a passion for baking and state senators who will discuss law. The founder of Girls Who Lead is quoted in saying, “These girls get hands-on experience with leaders from around the world.” The event will be held at Fleetwood Jourdain Community Center in Evanston, Illinois on August 27th, from 11:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time.
