According to ratedrnb.com, Silk Sonic, made up of Bruno Mars and Anderson Pak, have been awarded a new certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Their 2021 album, An Evening with Silk Sonic, is now certified platinum and has U.S. sales that surpass more than one million equivalent units. Almost every song on the album was co-produced by Mars and D’Mile, even the duo’s debut single titled, “Leave The Door Open,” which released in March of 2021 and ultimately became certified 2x multi-platinum, exceeding two million equivalent units in sales.
The highly anticipated vinyl for An Evening with Silk Sonic will be release don August 26th, and will be available as three separate exclusives through their official website, Target, and Wal-Mart. They will also be selling standard versions that will be available at Barnes & Noble and Amazon. On top of that, Silk Sonic will find out if they win Group of the Year at the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards on August 28th, with an event that will be hosted by LL Cool J, Nicki Minaj, and Jack Harlow.
