According to rttnews.com, Carrie Underwood and Olly Parton are among the nominees for the 2022 GMA Dove Awards. With the both of them getting nominated for the Bluegrass/Country/Roots Recorded Song of the Year category. Carrie Underwood received the nomination, due to to her song “All Is Well,” from her latest special edition of her holiday album, My Gift, that was released in September of 2021.
Dolly Parton was nominated for her song, “In The Sweet By and By,” that debuted on the Country Faith Bluegrass album, that featured various artists on it. Songwriter and producer, Jeff Pardo, leads the way with nine nominations on the night, with Matthew West and Maverick City Music both with seven nominations each.
The Gospel Music Association had announced all the nominations on Wednesday, August tenth. The 53rd GMA Dove Awards event will be taking place in Nashville on October 18th.
