DVSN Reveal Mac Miller Wrote Lines Just Days Before His Death

According to hiphopdx.com, DVSN opened up about what it was like to work with Mac Miller on their 2021 song titled, I Believe It. Miller was on their joint album with Ty Dolla $ign, only three days before his accidental drug overdose in 2018. While speaking with the Breakfast Club Daniel Daley explained, “Mac came to the studio, heard the record, he loved it, started recording, and then he left and said, ‘I don’t really like my verse, so I’m a send another one. He sends another one back in maybe like a week, and like three days after that, he was gone. It was tough, and I was just getting to really know him and understand why he was such a loved person because once you get around him, you’re like oh this guys dope.” Stephen Walter, Ryan Reavis, and Cameron Pettit were all arrested and charged for their roles in Miller’s death in September 2019. Reavis ended up pleading guilty and was sentenced to 11 years in prison, while Walter was sentenced to 17.5 years behind bars after he plead guilty to a federal count of distribution of fentanyl, Pettit’s case is still ongoing.
