Are you Ready for Fall Fashion Week? Here’s the Preliminary Schedule for New York Fashion Week Spring 2023

Last Thursday, the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) and IMG released a preliminary schedule for New York Fashion Week, which will run from September 9 through September 14. Though simply billed as “September 2022,” this is when most brands show their collections for the upcoming spring.

This season will kick off with Proenza Schouler, which takes the 4:00 p.m. slot on Friday, and it will close with former CFDA Chairman Tom Ford’s debut on Wednesday at 8:00 p.m.

There are 109 designers confirmed on the New York Fashion Week lineup this Fall, including Altuzarra, Brandon Maxwell, Carolina Herrera, Christian Siriano, Coach, Gabriela Hearst, Jason Wu, Khaite, LaQuan Smith, Luar, Markarian, Michael Kors, Peter Do, Prabal Gurung, Sergio Hudson, Theophilio, Tory Burch, Victor Glemaud and Willy Chavarria. This fall will also mark the return of Tommy Hilfiger and Area to the live shows, and three international brands — Fendi, Marni and Cos — will also make an appearance.

Last year, IMG introduced a new program dubbed the IMG Fashion Alliance. IMG President of Fashion Events and Properties, Leslie Russo announced it would be taking monumental steps towards restoring the magic that is NYFW through a new partnership with Afterpay as well as its formation of the ‘IMG Fashion Alliance.’ Led by a group of top American fashion designers, this partnership is meant to help support the community as a whole in the wake of COVID-19, while celebrating New York’s impact on fashion globally for seasons to come.

“The IMG Fashion Alliance was formed with one common objective: celebrate the resilience of New York’s fashion and retail industry as we emerge post-pandemic,” Russo stated in a press release highlighting the new partnership. “There is strength in numbers and we share and support these designers’ commitment to NYFW as a cornerstone of rebuilding New York’s thriving fashion economy.”
