According to news.yahoo.com, fans and haters alike of Olivia Rodrigo are debating the Chipotle celbrity card, after a viral Instagram post made by Olivia Rodrigo. The singer shared the details of the card sometime last year, however, due to TikTok and a TikToker named Neil Shanker, it is now a topic of discussion. In mid July Shankar posted about the card on TikTok, gathering attention on the platform and millions of views that sparked a debate over celebrities getting free things. The Chipotle card gives the card holder access to free, unlimited Chipotle for a years worth of time, and based on the timeline the card is likely no longer even active, even still many continued to debate the topic regardless. The TikToker’s video doesn’t take much of a stand, as it more so just explains how the card works. Nonetheless, commenters and fans are arguing in the comments, with some saying that it is, “How the rich stay rich,” or that “Rich people literally pay for nothing.” While others had a bit different of an opinion either stating they couldn’t care less if she or other celebrities had to pay or not. Otherwise stating that it simply doesn’t make sense to complain about as it is simply a marketing strategy that many companies have used in the past and will continue to use.
