According to sports.yahoo.com, it has been announced that the GRAMMY award winning, multi Platinum band Imagine Dragons’ single “Thunder” has received Diamond certification by the RIAA. After the certification of Thunder, Imagine Dragons has become the first group in music history to accomplish having four Diamond singles including, Radioactive, Believer, Demons, and now Thunder. The song “Thunder” was released in April of 2017 as the band second single off of the studio album Evolve which topped several music charts. Most recently, Imagine Dragons has released a double disc album titled, Mercury- Acts 1 and 2, it debuted on Friday, July first. The lead singer of the band, Dan Reynolds, has talked about the themes of the recent album as being themes surrounding death. Reynolds is quoted in saying that, “Mercury – Act 1 is focused on the immediacy of death. What does that sound like? What does that feel like? Mercury — Act 2 is focused on the process that comes after.”
